He was predeceased by his mother and father, his sister, Connie Champagne, his daughter, Shawn Hernandez, his mother and father-in-law, Marjorie and George Kullman, brothers-in-law Dominic Battaglia, Tony Bergeron and Michael Kullman.

Bob was a graduate of Catholic High and LSU. He was on the 1953 CHS team when they won the state baseball championship and pitched in the 1955 BR city championship. He had several jobs including car sales, insurance, Yellow Pages and retired from Westinghouse-Siemens Electric Repair with 25 years service. He was an avid fan of LSU sports, played golf and tennis. He found real joy in 2019 watching LSU’s perfect season.

In his later years he enjoyed meeting a group of friends at McDonald’s sharing stories and solving the world’s problems. He also met his ’55 class members for lunch once a month.

He had to stop most of this activity in September 2024 when he had by-pass surgery and

was later diagnosed with renal cancer. Bob and Dot traveled most of the USA alone, with friends and family only missing four states. While all this activity was great, his biggest joy came from his family.  He was always ready to give a helping hand to his children and enjoyed the antics of his grandchildren. He enjoyed the daily conversations with Bambi and his best friend Chuck. He also enjoyed wagering on the golf majors with Larry (most of which Larry won). He was proud of the achievements of his children and step-children. We will miss him and his never ending humor.

The family would like to thank the personnel of Amedisys Home Health and Hospice for their compassionate care.

A celebration of Life will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Range Ave on Sunday, May 18th with visitation from 11:00am to 1:00pm and service at 1 PM. Burial of cremated remains will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. Please share your condolences at www.sealefuneral.com
