Freddie Kyzar passed at the age of 84 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on May 8, 2025. He was born on June 26, 1940 in Independence, Louisiana to his parents Albert and Viola Kyzar. After finishing his college degree, he worked as an engineer for Boeing Airlines. Freddie was also a proud veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed spending his time fishing, working in the yard, traveling, telling jokes, watching football, and drinking a cold one on a hot day which he would happily consider his best day. He will be deeply missed by those that had the privilege to know and love him.
He is survived by children Patricia and Kevin, step-daughters, Debbie, Jill, and Dewanna, step-sons Dwayne and Ricky Clark, grandchildren Vyanh, Nicholas, Michelle, Robin, Codee, and Remi, numerous great-grandchildren, sisters Mary Saragusa, and Tanzy Kyzar, brothers Eugene (wife Peggy), John Wayne (wife Mary), Abe (wife Ida), and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife Sharon Kyzar, son Bryan Kyzar, father Albert Kyzar, mother Viola Eugene Kyzar, sisters Martha Hughes, brother Albert Kyzar, Jr. (Du’boy)
There will be a wake held at Seale Funeral Home on Friday, May 16 from 5pm to 8pm. Visitation will resume on Saturday, May 17 from 11am to 2pm with a funeral service starting at 2pm. Burial will follow at Killian Chapel cemetery.
