Psalm 103:13 “ Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear Him.”

Anderson Warren “Windy” Ables was born Sept 19, 1951 to JB and Kittie Ables and passed away peacefully in his home May 15, 2025. He is survived by his three loving children; Selena and husband Dale Mayeaux, Janie Ables , Lucas and wife, Jessica Ables; grandchildren; Seth Mayeaux, Caleb and wife, Rebekah Mayeaux, Addison Ables, Jackson Ables, Andi Jane Ables, Alex Faye Ables and Ella Jane Courson, and three great grandchildren; Hailey Mayeaux, Lucas Mayeaux and Rachel Mayeaux.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, by his wife, Janie Gaynell Bass Ables, his sisters, Effie Lee Mills and Patricia Wax, and grandson, Kameron Mayeaux.

Windy loved his wife, ( his Nellie), his children and grandchildren, LSU baseball and football.

Windy’s greatest and lasting legacy is a close knit family, kids that are best friends, grandkids that knew their “Paw” or “Pawger” loved them unconditionally, in laws who loved him as their own. He always dreamed of being a mountain man… Go rest high on that mountain, daddy… and watch your top knot. We love you everlastingly.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a visitation at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Monday May 19, 2025 from 9:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Graveside service to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

So sorry for the loss to the family. Windy was a neighbor and friend since Delmont Elementary school.

I love you my daddy. I miss you already. I wasn’t ready for this. I’ve been running a 51 year slide show through my mind, laughing and crying. Thank you for teaching us devotion, loyalty, Ables moral and ethical code. Thank you for showing me how much my Heavenly Father loves me by showing me how much my earthly one does. Ables kids are going to stay close, gonna keep making you and mama proud. Not gonna say goodbye. Just see ya later. Watch your top knot.

You will be missed dearly. Give those good hugs to Aunt Nell for me and know that we all love you. Tell my daddy and brother I love them and miss them too. Til I see you again.
