May 16, 2025by SealeUser5

Michael Eugene Williamson, known to many as “Big Mike,” was born on July 23, 1950 in Columbus, Ohio and passed on May 15, 2025 at the age of 74. He worked for 45 years for 688, Carquest, Advance and retired before working at Airline Automotive. He was also a reserve for the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Department. Mike was happiest sitting on his patio (especially while listening to music) and cooking, as well as being an avid LSU fan. Michael loved his Skoal and Miller Lite, and facetimed his brother Jerry ever Friday evening to talk about their week while having a highball. He was loved by many and his joy will continue to be spread by those that had the privilege to know and love him.

He is survived by his loving wife Janet Williamson, children Brad (Joell), Megan, Shawn, Shannon (Damon), Rainey (Vernon), Kalyn, Loc (Lan), Ruben (Sally) and his heart and furbaby Molly, grandchildren Brance, Jalyn, Jayda, Kholbie, Khameren, Khayden, Khloe, Emma (Seth), Joseph, Matthew (Morgan), Allison, Lucus, and Logan, great-grandchildren Manny, Kaiden, and Kyler, mother-in-law Shirley Williams, step father Bill Doan, siblings Jerry (Brenda), Sharon (Gary), Jimmy (Jan), William, and James Jr. (SCioney), sister-in-laws Karen (Jeff) and Shelley (Tessa), brother-in-law Marvin Jr. (Tara), and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father Colon Williamson, mother Margene Cannon, step-father James Cannon, step-mothers Dora Doan and Mary Cannon, father-in-law Marvin (Bo) Williams Sr., and brothers Jonathan and Ernest Williamson, and son-in-law Gary LaCroix.

There will be a visitation held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, Louisiana on Friday, May 23 from 12:30pm to 2:30pm with a memorial service starting at 2:30pm.

At a younger age you were called “Bull”, and then “Big Mike”. That’s a lot of memories. It was hard working for you and were tough as a brother and a boss. I appreciate all that you did to keep on the straight and narrow. Going to miss you and my prayers to the entire family.
