James “Barry” Woods, Sr. 76, a native of Tampa, FL and resident of Greenwell Springs, LA, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025.
He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and anything to be outdoors. He was a huge fan of LSU football and baseball, but his true love was his children and grandchildren. For decades he leveraged his substantial influence to help every single person who asked him. He did so quietly and without repayment. That was Dad. That was Paw Paw. That was Barry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Emma Jean Woods; and brothers, Jeff and Mike Woods.
He is survived by his wife, Shelley, children, Brandi and Jimmy; grandchildren, Connor and Summer; sister, Shelia; and son-in-law, Ron Bowen.
There will a visitation Friday, June 6, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Greenwell Springs, from 9:30 a.m. until Mass at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Father Jason Palermo. Please share your condolences at www.sealefuneral.com.
