Shelia Aerion Arnold Duvic, left this world on May 24, 2025, at the age of 77, after a battle with kidney and heart failure.
Born on August 9, 1947, in Brookhaven, MS. Married to James Edward Duvic Jr. in November of 1965 becoming a lifelong resident of Central, Louisiana and a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
Shelia was a gifted artist with a passion for painting. Her artwork captured both the beauty and complexity of life. Her spirit will be carried on through the memories she created and the lasting impact she had on those around her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Duvic Jr., her father, Felix Sidney Arnold, her mother, Monteil Laird Arnold, her father-in-law, James Edward Duvic Sr., and her mother-in-law, Beatrice Duhon Duvic.
She is survived by her children, Christie Mounce (Keith), Jamie Duvic, Michael Duvic (Cheree), Stacie Delpit (Derrick); and nine grandchildren, Devin, Faith and Cody Mounce, Chelsie McClendon (Garrett Lea), and Sydnie Drennan (Glen), Bryan Duvic (Sahira), Jillian and Katyn Duvic, and D’Mya Delpit; and five great grandchildren, Madisyn, Oaklynn, Wayden, Lucas, and Jayci; her sisters Mitzie Arceneaux and Gwendalyn Arnold, a brother Jeames “Bubba” Arnold (Helen), and multiple nieces and nephews.
She, as well as her family, had an appreciation for her care team, Butterfly wing at BR. General, her home hospice, Hospice of Baton Rouge, and her doctors, nurses, therapists and pharmacists at Central Pharmacy, for their exceptional care and support.
