It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marilyn Morel, who left us peacefully on June 8, 2025 at the age of 81. She was surrounded by her loved ones during her final moments.
 
Marilyn Morel was born on November 12,1943 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was the beloved daughter of Emery Bernard Morel and Marie Louise Morel. She grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she developed her lifelong passions for Crafting, Saints and Alabama Football and her many loved pets (Baby, Buster, Minew and Frisco). 
 
She dedicated her life to her family and charities. She was known for her kindness, sense of humor, generosity, and resilience and her unwavering support for everyone who knew her.
 
Marilyn Morel is survived by her two daughters Donna Dunaway and Julie Boudreaux and son David Angelloz, in addition to sisters Barbara Mejia and Corliss Kimble, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
 
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th between 9:00 AM until the memorial service at  11:00 AM at Seale Funeral Home 1720 South Range Road, Denham Springs, LA 70726. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
 
Marilyn Morel leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

    IE, You were like a second Mother to me. I am so thankful that you were a part of my life. Donna, David & Julie. My prayers are with ya’ll and your families. IE could light up the room , with just a smile. I’m sure Heaven became a little brighter when she came home.

    So sorry to hear of Marilyn’s passing. We have so many memories of our group of friends! We made wonderful memories that will always be close to our hearts.

    My friend, my friend, IE…hopefully she is at peace. I think about all of our escapades over the years and it always brings a smile to my face. We always had so much fun. I miss those times as we really had it going on. The memories are limitless.

    Prayers to the family as I know you will miss her.

    She’ll always be in my heart as a true friend for many, many years.
