Denise Delaune Ansalve

Denise Delaune Ansalve

May 1, 1960 – June 2, 2025

Denise Delaune Ansalve passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025, surrounded by family who loved her. She was 65 years old.

Born and raised in St. Bernard Parish, Denise became a proud Belle Chasse native and later made the Northshore Hammond area her home. She was known for her quick wit, her fierce loyalty, and her unwavering love for her people. She didn’t sugarcoat a thing, but she’d give you the shirt off her back, the last bite of food, and a whole lot of truth whether you were ready or not.

She was the heart of her family and the one you called when you needed help, advice, a laugh, or to be told to get your act together. Denise loved hard, gave generously, and lived with a fire that never dimmed.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years, Michael Ansalve. She also leaves behind her daughter, Amiee Lipscomb, and Amiee’s husband, Jason; her grandchildren, Billie Katherine and Jace, who were the light of her life; and her bonus grandchildren, Bryce, Kylee, and Conner, whom she loved as her own.
She is also survived by her sister Emily Pecquet (George), and her niece and nephews.

Denise was preceded in death by her parents, Emile Delaune Jr. and Dorothy Delaune, and her brother Alan Delaune (Debbie).

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 14376 Kohnke Hill Rd, Hammond, LA. All who loved her or whose life she touched are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause Denise held close to her heart.

Denise was a firecracker. A truth-teller. A mama, a wife, a sister, a friend.

She lived loud, loved hard, and left behind a legacy of strength, sarcasm, and heart.

And though she’s gone from this world, the fire she lit in those who knew her will burn on forever.
