Lyle Ridgeway Harman Jr. 73 of Denham Springs, La went home to be with Jesus Wednesday May 17, 2023 after fighting kidney disease for 2 years. Lyle was a retired business owner. He was born March 2, 1950 in Baton Rouge where he attended Istrouma High School. Lyle enlisted in the United States Navy where he received an honorable medical discharge. He was an avid golfer and lover of all LSU and Saints sports. He was a member of First Denham Baptist Church in Denham Springs. Lyle and his wife loved to travel and have visited about 12 countries and many US states.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Sharon Jones Harman, Daughter Tobie (Brian) Marquez, Son Jeffrey (Liz) Harman, grandchildren Kayla (Jacob) Bourgeois, Meghan (Blake) Sellers, Justin (Ashley) Dantzler, Cara Marquez, Regan Marquez, Grayson Harman, Reese Harman, great – grandsons Michael and Connor Bourgeois, Sisters Patricia Chapman, Linda (David) Hobbs and Joanne Harman and loyal sidekick Casper.
Lyle is proceeded in death by his mother Mildred Higgins Harman, father Lyle Harman Sr., brother Wayne Harman.
Visitation will be Friday May 19, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm with services with military honors to follow at 2:00 PM at First Denham Springs Baptist Church.

Tobie, we are so sorry to hear about your dad. We send our heartfelt sorrow from our family to yours. I know that your dad went through a lot & fought so hard. And just as you said, his journey here has ended, but it has just started on the other side.  May the soul of your dad be at peace in the arms of the Lord. Hindi, Howard and the family are saddened by the passing of Lyle. Our hearts were broken on the sad news. We will always remember our trips together, our annual family visits at Christmas and our family road trips. Sharon, you have always kept the family on a true course. Our love and prayers are with you and the family.
