Donna, a lifetime resident of Watson, grew her wings at home with the love of her life, Wayne Everett, by her side. They spent 46 years together, from teenagers to great grandparents. The love between one another never faltered and grew ever stronger. She was always at his side; date nights at the movies, taking trips to Disney World with the grandkids, and for the love of racing, spending 1989 to 2023 at the dirt track racing their own cars. She retired after the great flood of 2016. She owned several small business with her husband, construction companies, an arcade with a go kart track, and even their own dirt track. It would be criminal to not mention that she had the best neighbors that anyone could have ever wished for. Everyone loved each other just as you do the rest of your family. Donna was a very particular person. She really loved what she loved and down right detested the things she didn’t…like mustard and onions. (Just ask anyone that made the mistake of putting it on her cheeseburger!) She is survived by her husband, Wayne and their beloved dog KayKay; kids, Jessi and Nick Lancaster and Dwayne and Jess Everett; eleven grandbabies, Ryan, Kade, Abigail, Bryan, Anthony, Andrew, Kollin, Izzy, Bella, Brinick, and Kavan. At the beginning of the year she was given a two week life expectancy. She told them that they were wrong, in her own way. Her first great grandbaby would be here this summer and she was going to hold him in her arms. She proved them wrong, Addox got to meet his Mimi. She was in her 30s before her one true daddy came into her life, Harry Pearson. There is not enough room to list everyone that loved this woman, no matter how frustrating she could be, her heart was always in the right place, especially with God. She is reunited with loved ones that already gained their wings, her baby, Joanna and her husband Brandon Wright; baby brother, Al Moore; in-laws, Buck and Mabel Everett; her Grandma Effie Moore; and her Momma, Helen Joan Gens. Visitation is at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 1 pm to 3 pm. Services will begin at the conclusion of visitation. Graveside services will follow at Salem Cemetery in Walker.

I am so sad to read this. My prayers are with you and your family. I wish I would have been able to visit back in March when I was in town for my mom’s funeral, but wasn’t able to. I loved Donna so much and wished we lived closer . Sending my love and prayers.
