Tyler Shane Kirby, 40, of Walker, LA, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at his home. Tyler served his country in the United States Navy as an Aviation Supply Equipment Technician. He was best know throughout the city of New Orleans and Jacksonville, FL for his skills as a DJ at many of the popular areas of the city. He was a loving and devoted father, son, brother, grandson and uncle and will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, Saturday, September 2, from 10 a.m. until service at 1 p.m., officiated by Rev. Val Taylor. Burial will follow at Sibley Cemetery, Walker.
He is survived by his daughter, Londyn Taylor Kirby; parents, Kelly and Michelle Blades; siblings and their spouses, Scarlett Blades-Matherne and Kevin, and Trace M. and Laurel Kirby; maternal grandmother, Lorraine Blades Donagriche; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kelly Swain Blades; grandparents, Arthur “A.O.” and Delores Stafford, Mitchell and Dot Kirby, and Luther Blades. I’d only known him a few months. Our paths had crossed before, but I didn’t get to really know him until recently. We shared the same vision for our lives. Even though our music was completely different. He was instrumental in helping me believe in what I was doing. I pray that he felt the same way about me. Legitimately, one of the most solid, generous, kind, and, just overall, special souls I’ve had the honor of knowing. And I don’t know what happens after this plane, but, whatever it may or may not be, I pray he’s at peace and making the kind of music this world didn’t have the privilege of hearing. You were, and will always be, one of the good ones. Gone too soon, my brother.

One of the best Lil cousins I’ve know him and Trace was so funny when they were small will never forget the last time he came by too see us he always loved my mama’s fried squash!! Lol.
