Anita “Paulette” Loflin McCon, at age 70, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at her home in Colyell. She was born June 24, 1953, in Denham Springs, to Andrew “Sonny Boy” Loflin Jr. And Lila Taylor Loflin. She was a 1971 graduate of French Settlement High School. She was married to her loving husband of 53 years, Carlton “Toby” McCon. She worked as an insurance agent until retirement. Paulette’s interests and hobbies include going to concerts, crafts, and playing softball in her younger days. She loved spending time with her two grandsons and her great nephews. She touched the lives of many people. She was a member of Colyell Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Carlton “Toby” McCon; son, Tobe McCon (Dusty); mother, Lila Taylor Loflin; sister, Julie Loflin Guyban (Gary); grandchildren, Jacob McCon (Marissa) and Matthew McCon; nephew, Jarred Guyban (Kristina); niece, Meagan Guyban Roach (Johnny); 3 great nephews, Judson and Graham Guyban and Andrew Roach. She was preceded in death by her father, Andrew “Sonny Boy” Loflin Jr. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2023 from 6-9pm at Colyell Baptist Church. Visitation will continue on Monday, September 4, 2023 from 9am until funeral services at 11am, officiated by Rev. Paul Taylor. Interment will follow at Colyell Community Cemetery.
