Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Matthew 5:8
Levi, a lifelong resident of Albany, La, was peacefully called home to be with the Lord and his beloved wife Shirley at the youthful age of 96, leaving behind a legacy of simplicity and quiet strength. Rooted in humble beginnings, he found profound joy in life’s everyday moments. He was a simple man, who led a simple life. A man of few words. He loved one woman for forty-five faithful years and remained a dependable provider, working in maintenance at Hammond State School where he retired. Levi is a long time member of Colyell Baptist Church where he attended for most of his life, but in recent years he attended a church closer to home and has enjoyed his church family at Serenity Baptist Church. His passion for gardening and the simple pleasure of cutting grass, painted a picture of contentment and joy. Even after surrendering his car keys at 93, he embraced life’s simple pleasures, riding his lawn mower, down the road to visit his cherished sister and neighbors. Levi will be fondly remembered as a familiar face at Carters Supermarket in Albany, where he enjoyed his daily lunches. Growing up through the depression Levi developed a fascination for the price of things, and he didn’t mind asking you how much you paid for something. Lol. Levi lived a content and satisfied life, worthy to be admired. He did not search out or desire the things of this world. Paw Paw’s legacy should remind us of the beauty in finding satisfaction in life’s simple pleasures. His absence will be deeply felt leaving an irreplaceable void, in the hearts of all who knew him.
Levi is survived by; Daughter, Brenda Dale Stewart Sziber; Sister, Francis Cortez (Gerald); Grandchildren, Pat Sziber Jr; Krystal Konczol (James); April Bankston (Jacob); Great Grandchildren, Brody and Sophia Sziber; Gaige (Destiny), Hannah, Kaylee, Brennen, and Dallas Konczol; Jackson and Allie Bankston; Great Great Grandchild, Waylon Konczol; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by; Parents, Ambrose Stewart and Zelda Clayton Stewart; Wife, Shirley Crowder Stewart; Brothers; George, Hulon, Delmas, and Ambrose Stewart; Sister; Elmese Kimble; Son-in-law, Pat Sziber Sr.
A visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Livingston on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. Visitation on Thursday will be held at Colyell Baptist Church from 9:00am until services at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Colyell Community Cemetery.

When I lived with Terry on Pea Ridge. He would drive real slow up the driveway to see if Terry was home. He would always ask how I was doing. He is a very nice man. Rest in peace with your family Mr. Levi.

I have so many memories of Uncle Levi. All of them are funny or him passing on wisdom that us nephews and nieces did not understand until later in life. He will be missed. God speed uncle Levi. Please give Daddy a hug.
