Betty Dean Jordan went home into the arms of her heavenly father on December 3, 2023. She was born on September 28,1946 in Owingsville, Ky. to Huse Anderson Riddle and Mary Etta (Turner). As a teen, Betty moved with her family to Buras La. where she attended Buras High School. She and her family later moved to Ponchatoula, La. where she called home for the past thirty years. Betty loved gardening, painting and antiquing and was an avid pet lover. She also enjoyed spending time with her family who loved her dearly. Betty was preceded in death by her beloved son, Christopher Joseph Perez, her grandson, Keith “Buddy” Austin, her parents Huse and Mary, and her brother, Donald Huse Riddle. She is survived by her husband James Jordan, her sons, Donald Perez (Laura), Travis, Patrick (holly), Christian, stepchildren Shane and Kelly Jordan, her sisters Patricia Porter (Riddle) and Mary Scandurro (Riddle), as well as several grandchildren and one great grandchild. Betty will have a private memorial service for family. In lieu of flowers the family wishes all memorial donations made to Tangi Humane Society, 46219 River Road, Hammond, LA. 70401.
