We bid farewell to our beloved Mike Bass, who was with us from July 15, 1945, until February 17, 2024. He was 78 years old. A graduate of Broadmoor Highschool in 1963, he worked in the banking industry for most of his adult life, finishing his professional career with the LA Workforce Commission.
Mike was a very accomplished bowler throughout his life, and a decent golfer in his later years.
A true compendium of his surroundings, Mike was always able to provide deeply detailed information about any subject of conversation he was a part of. He had a sense of humor that continually brought upon smiles and laughter.
Mike always made a positive impact with everyone he knew and met in his professional, personal and leisure life, which is reflected in the vast number of friends he leaves behind.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Clemence Roth Bass, father, Sam Bass Jr., brother, Sam Bass III, sisters-in-law, Gail W. Bass and Becky S. Bass, and stepdaughter Michelle Scivique.
Mike is survived by his wife of 43 years, Vicky Lynn Bass, brother, John Bass, nieces, Jamie Bass Tairov and Julie Bass Brune, and their children, nephews, Bryan P. Bass and Jason J. Bass, and their children, and goddaughter, Michelle Theriot Carbo.
Visitation will be at Seale Funeral Services, 1720 S. Range Avenue, Denham Springs, LA, Saturday, February 24, from 1:30pm – 3:30pm, followed by religious service at 3:30pm.
