David Lee Morgan passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at the age of 52 of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. David was a Boy Scout who earned Order of the Arrow and God and Country awards. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard and went on to be an API Inspector in the Petrochemical Industry. He is survived by his daughter Madeline Morgan; parents Tommie and Beth Morgan; brother Daniel Wayne Morgan and wife Tara; aunts Jane Forman, Tracey Morgan and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Tom and Irma Morgan, and Wesley and Vickie Forman, Sr.; and two uncles Donnie Morgan and Wesley Forman, Jr. David was an avid golfer and enjoyed all things LSU. He was a member of Blackwater United Methodist church and was very active in the Blackwater United Methodist Men’s Group. Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Blackwater United Methodist Church, visitation beginning at 9:30am. Memorial services will be at 11:00am. Burial will be in the church cemetery and a luncheon will follow in the Fellowship Hall In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Blackwater United Methodist Men’s Group.

Sad news. Dave gave me a shot as a no experience inspector here in Ohio. The chance he gave me still provides a stable life for our family today. I will always be grateful for Dave and prayers for his wonderful family. I always hoped we would re-connect and hit the course someday. RIP brother. Geaux Tigers.

Thank you for your remarks. David enjoyed helping people. He never seemed to meet a stranger. Inspections in the Petrochemical plants was what he enjoyed for a career.
