Ouida Lee Covington, 66, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024 at her home in Walker, LA. Ouida was retired from the Livingston Parish School Board where she carried many children to school on a daily basis. She was a long time member of Abundant Life Church. Her true passion was cooking and spending time with her grandkids. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Alton Fred Cooper; daughters and sons-in-law, Halye and Dustin Brown, and Lacey and Craig Sinagra; son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Jackie Cooper; grandchildren, Brayden, Madalyn and Jayse Cooper, Kinlee Sinagra, and Ella Brown; sisters, Betty, Barbara, Bonnie, and Lynn; brothers, Mike, Ronnie, and Charles; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward James Covington and Edna Virginia Williams Covington. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice In His Care for their love and care given during this difficult time.

Our hearts are broken with learning of the lost of Mrs. Ouida. She was such a beautiful soul who loved children and made others smile and feel welcomed wherever she was. Her heart truly impacted so many. Sending lots of prayers and love to family and friends for comfort and strength.
