Marvin Larry Cook passed at the age of 74 on July 5, 2024 in Denham Springs, Louisiana. He was born on June 27, 1950 in Meridian, Mississippi and graduated from Slidell High School. Marvin is a Vietnam War veteran and served as a Drill Sargent in the United States Army. His occupations include New Orleans Police Officer, Shriner’s “Cookie” the Clown, Owner/Flight Instructor/Pilot of Cook Aviation Inc., and as a private and public criminal investigator.
Marvin dedicated his time and heart into his work as a Free and Accepted Mason, holding multiple ranks including Past Deputy District Grand Master, Worshipful Master, Past Lodge Master, and served 8 years as District Grand Lecturer. He was proudly a part of Ocean Orleans Lodge #144 and Bayou Lacombe Lodge #459. He was also a lifetime member of The Combat Veteran Motorcycle Association.
He is survived by daughters Amanda Marie Cook Morse and Ann Marie Cook Williamson, sons Mac Allen Cook and David Allen Cook, grandchildren Maria Cook, Elena Cook, Clayton Williamson, Zachery Williamson, Colton Cook, Hunter Perry, Elliot Cook, Micah Morse, Amelia Morse, Lynkin Cook, and Monroe Cook, and brother Joseph Hunter Cook.
He is preceded in death by his extraordinary wife of 46 years Deborah Ann deVillier Cook, parents Marvin and Jeanette Cook, oldest daughter Jodi Lynn Cook and nephew Hunter Cook.

So sorry for your loss Amanda. He must have been an amazing man, my dad was Zero the clown Shrine Temple NewOrleans. Their hearts were for those kiddos

A kind and honorable man, Larry will be lovingly greeted into Paradise by his precious wife, Debbie and sweet daughter, Jodi. What a beautiful reunion that will be. Rest in peace, Larry.
