Sylvan Landreneau loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family and friends on October 8, 2024, at the age of 82. He was born July 14,1942. A native of Mamou, LA, and a resident of Denham Springs, LA. He served honorably in the US Navy aboard the USS Suribachi taking him to France and Turkey. He worked as an operator and was a long-standing member of Local Union 406. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and hunting, and found joy in spending time in his garden. And always grew enough to share with everyone.
He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory, his wife of 60 years Barbara Ann Young Landreneau; daughter Annette Quinn and husband Tony; 3 grandchildren Kacey Ellenberger and husband Christopher, Austin Quinn, Kolton Quinn and wife Peyton; 3 great-grandchildren Anna Claire Ellenberger, Beaux Derrick Quinn, and Addison Ruth Quinn; brother Larry Landreneau and sisters Annabelle Maddie and Mabel Jones. Sylvan was preceded in death by his son James Kurt Landreneau, his sister Anna Mitchell, and parents Valerie and Hazel Lavergne Landreneau.
Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home on Saturday, October 12 from 1:00 to 3:00. He will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Park in Denham Springs, LA.
Pallbearers will be Tony Quinn, Austin Quinn, Kolton Quinn, Christopher Ellenberger, Christopher Hall, and Rodney Myers.

Mrs Barbara so sorry for your loss I pray that you will trust in God and let him guide you through this difficult time it was always a pleasure to see you both at Anna’s birthday lots of conversation and laughs I am praying for you all .

It’s always been a pleasure to see you both at Anna’s birthday party always smiling and enjoying family time . Mrs Barbara I pray that you lean on God and Trust in him. He will bring you through it all .
