December 2, 1959 ~ October 8, 2024

Donna H. Allen, sadly passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at the age of 64. She was born December 2, 1959 in Collins, Mississippi. She was a longtime resident of Denham Springs. Anyone who knew Donna knew what a vivacious woman she was. You always knew when Donna was in the room because of her vibrant personality and fun laugh. Not only was she a great time to be around, but she was very nurturing to those she loved. There wasn’t a birthday that passed that you did not receive a card in the mail from Donna. Our memories of Donna are something we will cherish forever.

Donna was survived by her son, Jacob Allen and wife, Sarah, daughter, Erin A. George, husband, Michael. Two grandchildren, June, and Lane Allen. Mother, Sandra Broussard and husband, Louis. Two siblings Paula McCullough and Randall James Herrin.  Donna was preceded in death by her father, Paul Herrin.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 1:00P.M. to 4:00P.M. at the Oakleigh House of Receptions. In lieu of floral arrangements the family ask donations be made to Live Oak Church.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” John 11:25.

Donna was a client of mine. She had supported me and my occupation on several occasions by referring numerous other people without even having met me yet. When she finally booked with me and I first met her, I quickly discovered what a genuine, caring, passionate and lively young lady she was. Typically, while I work on clients, I enjoy listening to them rant about whatever it is they want to talk about and I ask them occasional questions to help get things off their mind. It’s rare that people inquire about me and what I would like to talk about. Donna was someone who enjoyed having discussions and making true friends. Often, she took time during her appointment and asked me about my life and relationships. On multiple occasions we talked about many topics ranging from her kids/grandkids to the true meaning of love and life.

She was a once in a lifetime client and I still come across her influence when I work on the many people she has referred to me.

To friends and family- I’m so very sorry for your precious loss. I’ll cherish the memories and the confidence that Donna provided for me – and everyone else at my clinic – from the very beginning of my career.

Ms. Donna as I called her, was a true friend and sister to my mother, Mrs. Gloria Pittman. I had the pleasure of meeting her a few times over the years, but the thing that stands out is how much she loved and cared for my mom, and vice-versa. They had such an incredible bond and love between them. I was always so grateful for how Ms. Donna looked after my mom when I wasn’t there to help. Heaven has gained a wonderful soul and we are left here to honor her memory. Sending my deepest sympathies to the family. She was truly a special lady.

Very seldom do people live up to the hype of their obituary I was a customer of this dear lady who did light up a gathering and it was not phony or plastic it was a genuine woman who let Christ have his way in her person

I am heartbroken to hear that sweet, kind and loving Donna has passed. My Condolences to her children and family. I went to school with Donna at DSHS. I would see her at Performance and then at Jeffrey’s. We would talk about old friends from school. Our own lives. She always talked about her grandchildren. Donna had a personality that could uplift a person that was having a bad day. Will miss you. RIP

My deepest sympathy to the Allen family. Jacob, I can’t even start to tell you how much I enjoyed working with your mother. I’m in charge of a fleet of vehicles and I was at Jeffery’s on numerous ocasiones. I have numerous voicemails of her greeting me with a good morning and leaving me a cheerful message about the status of my vehicle. She was so helpful with the process and often she went out of her way to help me. She enjoyed helping the parish she loved. Over the last several years as I went in to turn in or pick up a vehicle, she would love to tell me about her grandchildren. She loved her family so much and boasted about y’all each time I visited. She will be greatly missed in Watson.

Oh my goodness, so young (my age). Met her at Jeffry’s (well initially Performance). She was so friendly, always seemed to be happy. Always smiling. Had no clue she had died. RIP Donna.

I am so saddened to see this. She was a bright light every time I saw her in Oak Point. Her laugh and her smile will truly be missed.
Prayers for all to find peace and comfort.
