Marsha “Gayle” Haley-Freer peacefully entered into eternity to be with her Lord & Savior on October 04, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was a resident of Walker, Louisiana & grew up in Denham Springs where she attended Denham Springs High School. She was very devoted to her loving husband, her children, grandchildren, & great-grandchildren. She loved spending her days sitting outside with her coffee watching the birds & enjoying nature. She deeply cherished spending time with her grandbabies, loved keeping them & going to visit them any chance she got. She enjoyed photography & loved taking pictures of her family in order to capture every precious moment. Any time her family was gathered together, we all knew to have our smiles ready as she laughed & snapped away. She was very dedicated & involved with her childrens’ hobbies & school activities including marching band, football, & baseball; never missing an opportunity to show up & support her babies.
Marsha is survived by her loving & devoted husband of nearly 30 years, Pete Freer, a son, C.J. Booker & his wife, Tanya, a daughter, Ashlee Freer, a step-son, Brad Freer, & a step-daughter, Rebecca Freer. Six grandchildren Jordan, Brooklyn, Andi, Logan, Jackson, & Colston. As well as five bonus grandsons, Landon, Logan, Tanner, Cody, & Axel, & one bonus granddaughter, Elise. She was lastly a proud great-mawmaw to three great-grandchildren, Ana, Jace, & Wrenlee.
She is preceded in death by her parents & all three of her older siblings who she deeply missed every day.
Marsha’s family would like to express the most heartfelt gratitude to the medical care team at Baton Rouge General who so compassionately cared for her during the duration of her illness & in her final days – Dr. Stephen Brierre, Dr. Breanna Campbell, & ICU nurses Stephanie, Danica, Grace, Matt & several others.
The family wishes to extend an invitation to all who loved her to attend a celebration of Marsha’s remarkable life on Saturday October 26, 2024 beginning at 11:00AM located at 35736 Bend Rd Denham Springs, LA 70706.
In lieu of floral arrangements, instead the family would love for those attending Marsha’s celebration of life to please bring an appetizer or dessert.

So sorry to hear about Gayle. She fought so hard but is now joined with her family. My prayers are for you all in this difficult time. May God be with you. Gayle was my third cousin and I enjoyed the time with her on Facebook.
