James “Trey” Vernon Stafford III passed at the age of 35 on October 14, 2024. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 12, 1989 to his parents Brenda June “BJ” Burns Stafford and James Vernon Stafford Jr. Trey graduated from Denham Springs High School. In his free time, he enjoyed working on cars, his business, and spending time outdoors fishing. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones.
He is survived by his parents Brenda June “BJ” Burns Stafford and James Vernon “Jim” Stafford Jr., sister Courtney June Stafford Whittington (Sean) and Kayla Brittany Stafford Alexander (Jamie), nieces Evangeline June Whittington and Antoinette June Whittington, nephews Cormac James Whittington, Solomon Jules Whittington, Levi Stafford Alexander, Brooks David Stafford Alexander, and Brady James Stafford Alexander.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Betty June Miller Burns and James Bonnette “JB” Burns, paternal grandparents Margaret Ann Henkel Stafford and James Vernon “JV” Stafford.
There will be a service held amongst family and friends in the future.

I weep with you. My heart breaks. But more, Jesus wept for you and knew grief greatly. He was not surprised when Trey went home. He was waiting with open arms to welcome him. You will see him again in God’s timing, after our Savior welcomes you home. In the interim, the great comforter, the Holy Spirit, will pray for you and with you as our intercessor.
