Charles “Mr. Chuck” Gene Rogers, resident of Walker, Louisiana, passed at the age of 82 on October 11, 2024. He was born on January 6, 1942 in Independence, Louisiana to his parents Henry and Winnie Rogers. After receiving his GED, he served his country in the United States Army and was a proud veteran. He worked as a crane and heavy equipment operator in the industrial industry. Other than always being busy working around the house, Mr. Chuck loved playing with his grandkids, and enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, watching westerns, and riding horses. He was very dedicated to always making sure that his wife was happy.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Brenda Loy Rogers, daughters Candace L. Rogers, son Randall G. Rogers, grandchildren Chontelle L. McDowell (Toney), Austin J. Rogers, Sr. and Logan M. Rogers, great-grandchildren Sheena M. Rogers, Russell J. Stewart Jr., Jamin D. Stewart, Austin J. Rogers, Jr., great-great-grandchild Gage Michael Dewayne Rogers, sisters Ruthi Gardener, Susan Allen (Milton), brother Wayne Rogers, Haley Young, Sabrina and Stephanie Berthelot, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents William Henry Rogers and Winnie Sara Snelgrove Rogers, sisters Pearl Kleinpeter and Vee Rogers, brother Gerald Rogers, and grandchildren Brandon Young and An’Drinna Rogers.
There will be a memorial service held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Saturday, October 26 from 12pm to 2pm with a 2pm service.
