Toni Sue Lee Foster entered into her mortality on October 27, 224 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at the age of 44.
Toni is survived by her three children, Natalie Foster, Justin Foster, and Madelyn Foster; her parents, Cindy and Randall Davis, Jr.; and sister, Lori Sandau.
Toni was born on July 12, 1980 in Laurel, Mississippi. She attended Walker High School as part of the graduating class of 1999, and would go on to receive her degree in elementary education. She would tell you that her years as a middle school English teacher with the East Baton Rouge Parish School System were her greatest years in the education world and those were her favorite students of all time.
Toni’s greatest joy in life would be that she was a mother. Her years of making dance costumes and baking elaborate birthday cakes to celebrate her children’s lives were the greatest years of her life.
Toni was a devoted reader who cherished the written word and a quest for knowledge above all else. She had a love for poetry and a passion for life that was un-surmounted. She would refer to her “ghost husbands”, William Shakespeare, Edgar Allan Poe, and Prince, and said they spoke to her through their words. She was and animal lover and avid coffee drinker who made a friend everywhere she went. Her favorite mornings would consist of coffee at Seven Brew with Nike; where everyone knew her and Nike; and she proudly called them friends.
While we are all deeply saddened by her passing at such a young age, she lived a life filled with love that left her fulfilled and truly happy. She was known to say that the brightest stars always burned out the fastest and no one could ever claim that she didn’t shine brightly.
She was an active member of Christ Community Church where she enjoyed baking for the church coffee shop and no one will ever forget her homemade king cakes.
