Daniel Joseph Cortez passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at the age of 57. Daniel is survived by his daughters Tiara Smiley (Adam Smiley), and Lena Cortez; sons Dewayne Lipscomb (Nikki Lipscomb), and Joshua Lipscomb; nine grandchildren, Leann Lipscomb, Ella Lipscomb, Lilly Lipscomb, Dewayne Lipscomb, Jr., Luke Smiley, Dakota Lipscomb, Isaiah Lipscomb, Isabelle Lipscomb, and Karsyn Smiley; sister Eunice Cortez, brother Chris Cortez; numerous nieces and nephews; Crystal Mabile, Lisa Anne, Amanda, Catherine, Allan, Brian, Jimmy, Bobby Cortez, and Kelly Mabile. Daniel was preceded in death by his mother Lena Cortez, father Freddie Cortez, sister Seli8na Cortez, and three brothers; Johnny Cortez, Jimmy Cotez, and Lloyd Cortez. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
