Wroten, Alvin Jr.
Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Alvin Wroten Jr., 85, of Baker was called to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 27, 2025. He is survived by sons Ray Wroten wife Laura, Lee Wroten wife MeLissa and daughter Tammy Merritt husband Paul; grandchildren Hunter Wroten and Tristan Merritt, Brittany Stewart husband Bobby, great-children Roman Merritt, Berkleigh and Brynleigh Stewart; brothers, Louis Freeman, Leo Freeman, and Jeff Needham; sisters Joyce Adams, Peggy Merchant, Polly Spring and Kay Williams.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Ina “Marie” Wroten, mother Laura Freeman; Rachel Marcantel who raised him as her own; brother, Pete Freeman; sister Coonie Cain; and grandson Eddie Merritt
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Hunter Wroten and Tristan Merritt, son-in-law, Paul Merritt, brothers, Stevie Adams and Louis Freemen and nephew Danny Adams.
A funeral service will be held in his honor on Thursday, May 1, 2025. Visitation will be from 11am – 1 pm at Seale Funeral Home, 1720 S Range Ave Denham Springs, with funeral service beginning at 1 pm and graveside burial following at Hillcrest Memorial Garden in Baker.
