Alice Ann Yszara Murphy passed peacefully on the morning of December 25, 2020 at the age of 75. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 28, 1945, but moved to Head of Island, Louisiana at a very young age. This is where she was raised and became a well-known matriarch in her small town. She married John Adrian Murphy on January 11, 1964. They would have celebrated 57 years of marriage in just a few weeks. Alice devoted her life to her husband and raising her three sons in Head of Island, Louisiana. Those who loved her will remember her Christmas gumbos, her love for a good backyard barbeque, and her afternoon drives to visit family. Alice is survived by her husband, John Adrian Murphy; three sons, Gregg, Kevin, and Russell Murphy; brother, Mike Yszara; sister, Arlene Jackson; five grandchildren, Tyler, Dillon, Karly, Cade, and Reid; and three great grandchildren, Nolan, Cohen, and Theo. She is preceded in death by her parents Jim Yszara and Beulah Debate. The family wishes to thank everyone for their prayers and assistance during this time. Your kindness has been a blessing.
