Joe Jerome, a resident of Denham Springs, LA passed away at his home at the age of 82 on
Friday, January 29, 2021. Joe was born on December 23, 1938 in New York, raised in the
St. Amant, LA area and then moving with his family to Denham Springs. He married

Church, where he served as a deacon. The family were active members serving the Lord.
He served 6 years in the U. S. Air Force, performing his duties as an “AP” Air Force Police.
He served his country’s interests on the continent of Africa. After leaving the military, Joe became
a Master Carpenter by trade. He enjoyed bass fishing & fly fishing but, in later years he immensely
enjoyed watching a variety of sports on television: hockey, soccer, rugby, and car racing
(not NASCAR-too many rules, lol). Joe loved and cared for his family beyond compare.
He was always ready to assist (perform mostly) in home repairs, building porches, &
