Charles Ivan “Buddy” Thomas, 87, of Albany, LA, passed away Friday, February 5, 2021. He served his country in the United States Navy. He served his Lord as a Deacon with many churches over the years. He loved music, playing guitar, and woodworking. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great great-grandfather. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Livingston, Tuesday, February 9, from 12 p.m. until service at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at New Life Baptist Church, Albany. He is survived by his children, Charles “Randy” Thomas and wife, Cathy, Joyce McKinney, Janet Patterson, and Judy Bailey and husband, Darrell; grandchildren, Amanda Thomas, Michelle Wright, Charles Robert “Bo” Thomas, Bruce Thomas, Melissa Cutrer, John McKinney, Pamela McKinney, Rebecca Buratt, Lloyd Matthew Patterson, Paulla Arceneaux, Melissa Thomas, Michelle Shank, and Andrew Bailey; 38 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren.
