February 19, 1961 ~ February 8, 2021
Dianna “Deanie” Lynne Crenshaw, age 59, of Denham Springs passed away peacefully after a courageous struggle with a brief illness. She was born February 19th, 1961 in Houston, Texas to Tommy and Margie Gilbert. Dianna was a graduate from Baker High Scholl, Class of 1979. As a young girl, the family moved to Louisiana where she met her soulmate, Jewell Donald “Jake” Crenshaw. Jake and Deanie were married at the First Assembly of God in Baker, Louisiana May 3rd, 1980.
A nurse for over 30 years, Deanie touched many lives. She truly believed that serving others was her calling; that she was a vessel for ministering to those in need. Her marriage with Jake led them to travel & live all over the world, including Saudi Arabia & St. Croix, US Virgin Islands. Her passion in nursing led her to specialize in hospice care, comforting & ministering to those as a part of end-of-life care. Everywhere her travels led her, she was active in the community. She started hospice services & managed teams of international medical staff across the globe, worked with Capital Area CASA as a case worker for children in need, & even inspired many from younger generations to pursue their own careers.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs beginning at 1:00 pm until funeral services at 3:00 pm. Burial will take place on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 1:00 pm in the John C. White Memorial Cemetery in Leesville, LA
The only thing Deanie enjoyed more than her LSU Tigers & her devotion to helping people was spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her father, Tommy Gilbert and her sister, Tommie Jean Schwaab, her grandparents, and numerous aunts, uncles & other loved ones.

Jake, Josh and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I met Deanie at my dad’s funeral and she was so sweet. She sent my dad a LSU shirt to wear when they beat Bama. Always a family rivalry. I’m sending prayers, love and hugs.
Deanie- Rest in Paradise. Tell my dad hi.
