Patricia Ann Magee “Granny”

Our “Grande Dame” Granny passed away at her home in Denham Springs surrounded by her family on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at 12:50 pm.  She was 80 years old.  She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Anthony Magee; daughters Kelli Meyers(Dennis Meyers), Molli Latil(Rick Latil); sister Sue Hoover(Hammond, LA); grandsons Trent Meyers, Luke Meyers, Cole Latil, and Grant Latil.  She is preceded in death by her parents L. Ray Sanders and Mabel Sanders.  Special thanks to her grandson and caregiver Trent Meyers,  lifelong friend and caregiver Carolyn Helmke, caregivers Karlene Burgoon, Lanell Vital, and Yolanda Jackson.  She was such a “giver” to many as well.  A favorite quote borrowed from her treasured cookbook:  “There are two kinds of people in the world:  givers and takers, the takers may eat better, but the givers sleep better”.  A private service for immediate family will be held at a later date.  We “love you more” Granny!

My deepest sympathy during this time of grief to you Anthony, your girls & family. Anthony, you and Pat were such good friends to Mom & Dad… from camping, to floods, to their illnesses, you both were always there in their time of need. Pat’s wit could NOT be matched & we still chuckle just thinking of all the times she made us smile. May she RIP and live forever in your hearts.
