I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
Loyce Rainey, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully on June 12 at the age of 83, surrounded by her family. She grew up in Baton Rouge, but moved to Denham Springs as a young girl. She loved to read, she was an excellent cook, she traveled extensively and particularly loved to cruise. She had an adventurous spirit, and nothing was more important to her than her faith and her family. She is predeceased by her parents, James Mose and Delma Eckert Aronstein, and son-in-law, Tracy Pickerell. Visitation will be at Seale Funeral Home, 1720 S. Range Avenue, Denham Springs, Tuesday, June 15 from 5-8 p.m. Viewing will be at Seale Wednesday, June 16 10-11 a.m. with services to follow. She will be interred at the Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery. There are people we encounter, some of whom have a marked impact on our lives. Momma Loyce, of course along with Mr. Earl, Kerry, Kathy, and Renee, were such people for me, as well as for many others. So Kerry not only are you my oldest best friend, your entire family will always hold a special place to me. My deepest sympathies in your loss, and know that even in my physical absence today, you all remain constantly in my thoughts and prayers. May Philipians 4:7 become more real to each of you in every day that follows.
