January 9, 1946 ~ September 8, 2021

Lois was born January 9, 1946, the oldest of 9 children in Tylertown MS to the late Jessie Knight and Mary Thomas Knight. She was raised in Washington Parish and later in Baton Rouge LA where she reared her family. Lois most recently resided with her Daughter in Denham Springs, LA.
She retired from East Baton Rouge Parish School Systems after 25 years as a Bus Driver. My mother was Frances (Forty) Merle Knight, married to Roland R. Rodgers. I am Linda Rodgers and I had a brother, Phil. My mother died about 38 years ago, in Bay City, Texas. I lost contact with her relatives years ago, but these names are familiar to me: Jesse and Mary Knight, Louise Brumfield, Regina, Randy, Reggie, and John Reece Brumfield, John Wayne and David Knight, Hilton Knight, John R. Brumfield, Geneva Brumfield, Lois Knight, Kathy Knight, and so many others that I can’t recall right now. I’m wondering if the family members listed in this obituary might be those of my mother. My email is lgleinser@yahoo.com. Thank you.
