Joe our family is devastated with the loss in your family. Praying that in the coming days, comfort will be there for you and most of all, peace. Coach and I go way back with your parents. When we moved here in 1965 they immediately became some of our close friends. Knowing now Matt is resting now with Jesus is great comfort.
In christian love,

Trey is with me temporarily now and sends his prayers for comfort and peace.

The rains following his passing were from heaven’s waters…where Mr. Charles was showing Matt all the good fishing spots. Been a lot of years since Matthew was in preschool class, but I have remained proud of him all through these years. May the family find peace in sharing happy memories in the days ahead. With love, Elaine

I worked with Matt for several years at the jail before I moved on to other agencies. He was a focused and very motivated Deputy and always a professional. He was country to the bone and I will always remember that about him. Godspeed Matt. You can rest now in Jesus.
