Albert Rosco Grimmer, Jr., 82, left this life on November 9, 2021 at the Veteran’s Affairs Hospital in New Orleans, La. He was a resident of Denham Springs, La. Albert was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on February 4, 1939. He graduated from Flaget High School in 1957 and shortly thereafter enlisted in the United States Air Force. In total, Albert served 27 years in the military (Air Force, Army and National Guard). He retired in 1995 and until recently, he was a Service Representative for the Disabled American Veterans. He was Commander of DAV Chapter 5, and had been VFW Commander, American Legion Commander, and past Commander of the state DAV. He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church. He leaves his wife of 58 years, Beverly, and three children; Melody Whirley (Todd), Eric Grimmer (Theresa), and Cindy Grimmer. He had three grandsons; Noah Whirley (Brylie), Eric Grimmer II, and Audie (A.J.) Grimmer and one great grandson, Reid Whirley. Albert also had two adoptive siblings, Kevin and Robyn Grimmer, who live in California. Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Albert, Sr. and Helen Grimmer and his grandparents Joseph and Lorene Hohl. Visitation will be at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs on Monday, November 15, from 10 a.m. until service at 12 p.m., conducted by Brother Todd Whirley. A committal service will follow at Louisiana National Cemetery, Zachary, LA, at 2 p.m. with Military Honors for his service to our country.
