“Katherine Danielle Britton was born a tenacious force of nature, on September 26, 1988 in Woodbridge, Va. Unfairly short, though wildly eventful, she ended her adventure in Geismar, LA. She joined her great grandparents, Rita and Lloyd Luehrs and Althee and Wiley O Buhler on November 18, 2021. In her wake, we mourn as a mother, Lisa Acklen Johnson (Carl) of Biloxi, and father Kenith Britton (Sue Newman). As siblings, David Acklen (Britney), LeeAnna Guedry(Zack), Kayla Louque (Stefan), Rebecca Britton, Ashley Griffith. As nieces Alexa and Brielle Guedry and Hadley Baldwin. As grandparents Nancy and Kenith Britton, Hedy and David Fonda, Charles and Nita Acklen. The wave of her loss will also carry across a wide reaching extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. None more beloved, however, than her two blessed children: Braiden and Aubrey. In the coming days, we invite friends and family to attend a private service celebrating this woman, our Katherine, as we remember her: the personification of fire and love and, really, even more fire.
