Arthur Henry Blount a native of Sherburne, La. and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022 at the age of 81. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and did a tour in Korea. Henry retired from Local 198 as a pipefitter with over forty-years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Lois Miller Blount and three brothers; Wayne Blount, Glynn Blount and Keith Blount. He is survived by his son, Henry Blount, Jr. three daughters; Laurie Ann Blount, Karen Burkes, and Tami B. Wales, nine grandchildren; Chase, Casey, Faith, Tristan, Cole, A.J. and Henlee, Jenis, and Christina, five great-grandchildren, two brothers; Calvin Blount and Johnny Blount, and sister, Carolyn McIntyre. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and a free spirt who loved to travel. Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date.
