July 20, 1953 – March 13, 2022
Michael “Big Mike” Golmon, was born July 20, 1953 and passed away March 13, 2022 surrounded by his wife and children.
He was a boilermaker and a welder. He loved welding and could make anything. He was generous with his talent and often helped friends with welding jobs and car problems. He loved old trucks and, until the end, was still giving his sons advice on repairs.
He was a man of few words. Although he didn’t say a lot, he made sure his grandkids knew that he loved them with his whole heart.
He was proceeded in death by his son, Charles “Charlie” Golmon, his parents, Lamar Golmon and Dixie Ivy, and his brothers, Scotty and Reggie Golmon.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria S. Golmon and children, Robyn Golmon, Lindsey Golmon Weatherly and her husband Stephen, Randy Golmon, Katie Golmon Gray, Robert “Boone” Golmon and his wife Brandi, his sister, Wanda Patton, and his grandchildren, Emma, Addison, Cael, Aubrey, Allie, Rosie, and Porter. Dear Gloria and Family, Please accept my sincere sympathy over the passing of Mike. I know how dear he was to you and every one of his children. I know he will be missed terribly, but he will remain alive each time you think about him and talk about him together.

We love y’all! I remember seeing him pass by in his truck headed out the neighborhood and he’d always wave. He did that as long as I could remember. He will be missed.
