Zane Wilson Jones was born on February 10, 1940 in Livingston, LA and died Friday, October 7, 2022 in Watson LA.
He is presided in death by his wife of 59 years, Jo Ann Emrick Jones; parents, Horace Elmo Jones and Minnie May Martin Jones; brother Larry Dale Jones and sister Carolyn Sue Barcelona.
He is survived by his sones Danny Jones and wife Julie Rabalais Jones, Jeff Jones and wife Amy Hornsby Jones, and Stacy Jones and wife Erin Hennesse Jones. Five grandsons, Justin, Mason, Hayden, Hunter and Bradyn Jones; and one granddaughter Jordyn Jones Johnson; great grandchildren Zane David Jones, Avery James Johnson, JoAnna Leigh Jones, Megan Clark and Kruz Blount, along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Mr. Jones graduated from Glen Oaks High School and retired from Exxon Chemical after working there for more than 30 years. He was a member of Watson Baptist Church, and one of the founding fathers and cornerstone of the Live Oak Sports Association where he served as president for more than a decade. His love of sports led him to coach many youths’ baseball and football teams during his involvement with the sports complex.
Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs on Monday, October 10, 2022 beginning at 9:00am. Rev. John Pemberton will conduct funeral services at 12:00pm. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Mr. Jones loved to play music, especially Blue Grass and Gospel.

Danny, Jeff, Stacey-your DAD was a great man who always cared about people, worked very hard for LOSA, was a family man who took special pride in being a DAD, a man who cared and was so very proud of LIVE OAK—he will truly missed; glad to have known him as a man and wonderful parent —Warren Curtis

Jeff, Danny, Stacey, and family I am so sorry for your lose. Zane was a great person and coach. He will be missed but he is back with Joann so they are very happy again.
