Christopher (Chris) Layne Duplessis, 37, of Baton Rouge, LA, died Friday October 7, 2022 of organ failure at his residence. He was employed by Total Safety Supply and Solutions. Chris was born in Baton Rouge, LA on December 24, 1984, and was raised in Denham Springs, LA. Chris graduated from Denham Springs High School in 2003, then received his Business Administration degree from LSU in 2007. He grew up playing baseball from youth to high school and he enjoyed bowling and playing golf. He is survived by his father, Jimmy Duplessis; brother, Dru Duplessis; grandmother, Doris Van; and girlfriend, Hannah Jones. He is proceeded in death by mother, Joy Duplessis; brother, Marshall Duplessis; grandfather, Billy Van; and grandparents, Pete and Barbara Compton. Visitation will be held at Seale funeral home on October 13, 2022 at 1pm and services will begin at 3pm. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park where he will be laid to rest next to his mother and older brother. So sad to hear of your passing. I worked with Chris at WFM and he was a pleasure to work with. One of the best Buyers we ever had. I remember he was a huge LSU fan. Sending prayers to his family and wishing you peace in your time of healing. RIP Chris.
