Carmen, Carl is home with family now, he’s setting up house waiting to show everyone who made it to heaven before us to be with our father. I enjoyed finding a reason to go to the hardware store to shoot the bull with Carl and you, I enjoyed teasing Carl, and going to the auctions. I wish I had known about Carl’s passing, I know you were busy and had your hands full. The wife and I was moseying along the back road the other day, we passed by your house but didn’t want to stop without giving you notice. I sure liked old Carl.

    Carmen,

So sorry to hear about Carl’s passing. He was a sweet man who was always so kind to us whenever we went into Osyka Hardware. I didn’t learn of the graveside service until that evening as I would have certainly been there. He was so welcoming to both of us after we moved here after Hurricane Katrina. Prayers of comfort and peace for you and your family. He was a good man and I know he’s in heaven with Jesus.

    God Bless,
    Vincent & Dawn “Dana” Santalucito

    Esther, Troy, and family,

Esther from the day you carried your cousin’s ring down the aisle, to the moment your Dad walked your cousin down the aisle, a friendship began that we have never forgotten. I just wish we could have seen each other ten times more than we did.
Carl loved his farm, his prize cattle, and his family. Carl helped make me the person I am. We definitely understood each other.
He will forever be around continually watching over all of our shoulders helping us make the right choices and keeping us on the right track. I still vividly remember the hours long talks we had. Carl was always assured and calm knowing we were around to watch his Mother and Sisters, your aunts and Grandmother, while he took care of the farm and the stores.
I will greatly miss his presence. I was always excited knowing he was coming to town to visit the family. And I could sense he was excited to be there. It saddens me to say this, but Carl was more of a father figure to me vs. my own father. I will never forget this.
There is so much more I could say, and maybe one day in the future I will share these thoughts.
Carl, “Rest in Peace” until we meet again. We love you.
