Will passed away suddenly at his home in Denham Springs at the age of 66. He was an electrician. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs on Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 11:00 AM until religious services at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park, Denham Springs. He is survived by his wife, Linda Harrell Simms; sons, Billy Lyle Simms (Becky), Derek Marshall Simms and Christopher Shane Kesler (Laurel); sisters, Cheryl Simms Nolan (Wade) and Debbie Simms Henson (Mike); grandchildren, Lauren Simms, Jenna Simms, Ava Simms, Zoey Simms, Kayla Kesler Starns (Jon), Samara Babin, Ian Simms, Jacob Harrington-Simms, Jax Simms, Christian Kesler and Nikolas Kesler; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews; His Beloved Dog, Lucy, his Pirate Dog. Preceded in death by his parents, Lyle William Simms and Natalie Iona Peel Simms; daughter, Amanda “Mandy” McGrew Babin; former wives, Diana Rice Bobrycki and Delores McGrew Simms. Agree friend though thick and thin. Made my first studio session and introduced me to Tommy Hollingsworth. The Amite River Band was born. Will was a smart and humble man . Go play that guitar in Heaven and hug your parents. Thise of us left behind will miss him

A true and Gracious friend. He made my first studio session and introduced me to Tommy Hollingsworth. And the Amite River Band began. Remained friends thru thick and thin. Truely a humble man singing and playing guitar in Heaven. He will be missed by those left behind.
