December 3, 1955 ~ December 28, 2022
David Jay Catha of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on December 28, 2022, after a brief illness, at the age of 67. He was a graduate of Istrouma High School (1973) and graduated from Nicholls State University, which he attended on a football scholarship. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Maria Bonano Catha, his children, Kristen Catha Foti (Alex) and Matthew Catha (Jennifer), Brother, Keith Catha (Brenda), Sister(s), Molly Bethea (Jim), Sherry Cavin (Al). Visiting will be on Monday, January 2 at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, LA, from 7-9 pm. Tuesday, January 3, visiting at St. Isidore Catholic Church, Baker, LA, from 10 am-11 am, with mass services at 11 am. Procession will follow back to Resthaven Cemetery where he will be laid to rest. All that knew David loved him for his great sense Kof humor, as he was never one to miss an opportunity for a joke. His love for his children and family will live on forever. David was loved. David was uplifting. He was faithful and kind. He brought joy to his friends. He will leave a void in our lives. I grieve for David and ache for Maria’s loss. Adieu “chauffeur”

I wish I had known my kin folks better didn’t know I had so many until it was too late.
