Doug, Charlotte, & Joan; My deepest sympathies on the loss of you Dad. It seems the world we all knew and took for granted while we were all growing up in the relative safety of Denham Springs, is becoming less populated with some of the truly good people we all knew. I am sorry that I did not find out about the passing of Dr. Hughes until last night. I was in Denham yesterday visiting my Dad and could have attended his service. If there is anything I can do to lend a shoulder or general comfort to any of you I am an email away and live in Kenner, so please do not hesitate to reach out if a need arises. Regards, Mike

My heart was saddened to read about the loss of your sweet dad. I, too, was a patient of his for over 40 years and he was always so polite and caring. We had many laughs during those years. He was so lost without your mom, the love of his life. He told me he didn't want to live after her death. I'm just seeing this and am so sorry I didn't know in time to attend the visitation last night. I never had seen as many people as were at your mom's visitation and left without getting to even close to speaking to him or any of you so I'm quite sure it was the same or more at his visitation. He was a true Christian and quietly lived his life being that for all who knew him. My prayers and condolences to all of you during this difficult time.

My deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Dr. Hughes during their time of need. I feel as I have lost a member of my family as I was his patient for over 40 years. He was always kind, caring, and a gentle person. As a small child sitting in his office I was never scared as he and his staff were the best.
