Obituary for Ken Alan "Winky" Walters

Ken Alan “Winky” Walters, a native of Baton Rouge, LA and a resident of Watson, LA, passed away surrounded by many who loved him at his home on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the age of 61. Winky loved his family, his friends, hunting, fishing, dancing, and having a good time. There will never be another one like him. His legend lives in the many memories nearly everyone has of him. Winky is survived by his wife of many years, BJ Caston Walters; children, Carrie Walters, ChelCee Walters, Brad Whetstine and wife, Crystal; and Brandon Whetstine and wife, Renee; grandchildren, Kendall, Brayden, Caden, Lane, Kyle, Haley, and Peyton; mother, Hollie Lee; siblings, Becca Clark and husband, James Ray, Shelly Corkern and husband, Ronnie, and Dean Walters; mother-in-law, Lola Hall; in-laws, Prentiss Caston, Wayne and Connie Caston, Sandra Wade, and Sharon and Chuck Melancon; pets, Prissy and Red; to many good ole podnuh’s to list; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Van Nelson Walters; brother, Van Dwight Walters; brothers-in-law, Ronnie Corkern and Ed Caston. Visitation will be held at Live Oak Baptist Church on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 10 a.m. until Celebration of Life Service at 4 p.m.
