Condolences

Joe, it seems like just yesterday that Prissy would be yelling at you for coming home late from practice or playing music somewhere, while secretly laughing underneath because she knew us boys would be boys. Needless to say she was the mature one in our little musical family. She was probably happy to get you out of her hair for a little while, but I know she was always proud of you for all of your accomplishments in music. She probably thought we were all just a little bit crazy for some of the things we did, like the completely unpredictable "tour" of Oklahoma we made when we were in the band Joshua, and more often than not never knew where we'd be sleeping or playing that night (well I guess that is crazy to some folks). But that's how dedicated we were to our dream, and Prissy always supported it, even through the lonely times and the phone calls from states away because she knew that's what you wanted to do. I used to visit with her when she and I worked at LSU too, and her wit and humour always made it a pleasure. I was so sorry to read of her passing, which of course brought back a flood of memories we share. Please accept our sincere condolences to you and your family, from the Harris family.

I am so sad to hear of Prissy passing. As a graduate student and new to the department of Biological Sciences many many moons ago, Prissy was one of the most instrumental people in making me feel at home and adjusted to my new surroundings. She was an incredible source of information and also a great friend to many graduate students. Her contributions to the department were above and beyond and she will surely be missed by more people than you can imagine. Prayers to her and her family.

I can't believe you're gone. We are in a haze trying to figure out what to do. You were the person i would call to find out what to do in this situation and now I am lost. You were such a fighter in this battle. I love and miss you dearly.
- Crystal
