Obituary for James Morris Foster, Sr.

James Morris Foster, Sr., a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away at Ocshner in New Orleans on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the age of 77. James served his country with honor in the US Army and was very proud to be an American. An ordained minister, he loved the Lord, his Church, and sharing his faith with those around him. He is survived by his children, Vonda F. Chelette and her husband Randall, and James Foster II and his wife Cherri; grandchildren, Emily Riley, James Foster III, and Jayden Foster; great-grandchild, Barbara "Barbie" Mallum; 6 siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Zada “Lea” Foster; parents, Morris and Evelyn Foster; and his 2 brothers. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue at Pine Grove Baptist Church on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 9 a.m. until Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Interment with military honor will follow on the grounds of Satsuma Baptist Church Cemetery.
