I'm so very sorry for your loss. But may the words of Jesus Christ help each of you to see what he is speaking about in John 5:28,29 where we find him here giving each of you a Guarrantee that he will resurrect your dear loved one back to life again and then when he is back, he will then be able to live the real life, as God has intended for us to live and which is being expressed in Psalm 37:29 which says: The righteous will possess the earth and they will live forever on it. So may these words bring lasting comfort in knowing that one day in the future, all of you will be able to wrap your arms around him once again and be with each other forever...
- Arthur
I worked with Jerry for many years at Troop L, and thought a lot of him. As a Trooper and LSTA leader, his integrity always shown through. RIP Jerry, and prayers for the whole family.

I am so very sad to learn about Jerry's passing. He was a true friend in every sense of the word. He and I worked together many nights and days when he was at Troop L and I was with St. Tammany SO. Jerry was a man of moral courage and he showed me and taught me how a good and decent man was supposed to act. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and we would check in on each other every shift. We answered calls together and shared so many experiences. To you, Carole and Carron, I pray for peace and comfort but I know that is a small measure in your grief. He left us far too soon and I know that he is in Heaven. I will miss him terribly and this world is somewhat dimmer now that he is no longer in it with us. He was a very good man and I know he loved his family so very, very much. Rest in Peace my good friend and 'a job well done'.

I first met Jerry in the 80's when we worked together at LSP Troop L. Jerry became a good friend and we shared so many stories. Carole, and family, please accept my condolences. and you will be in my prayers. Jerry will be missed by so many friends and former co-workers. R.I.P. Jerry, We'll take from here ole friend!

Jerry was a good friend and neighbor. We moved in our houses the same day. We instantly became friends with him and Carole and the girls. There were many cookouts and get togethers at our home and theirs. He was so freaking hilarious! He would say stuff with a straight face but it would crack us up! We could always depend on him to help us with anything. He helped Chris many times in the yard or move appliances. We could always count on him. He will be missed dearly. We love you Jerry. Rest in peace dear friend. Chis and Lisa Buquoi

I was much older at Troop L but do have fond memories of our conversations. The joys and laughter that we had together.Jerry was a Unique and Special Person. To the family, he was one of the Most Respected Troopers that I had the privilege and pleasure of working with.Rest in Peace old friend.

I will miss my friend and fellow State Trooper. Very few contributed as much to the excellence and professionalization of the La State Police as Jerry did. I will always appreciate his wise advice and faithful service. Jerry did exactly as Pres. Abe Lincoln advised: "Be sure to put your feet in the right place, then stand firm." He had the moral courage to stand for what was right and then out last the resistance. May God bless his family and comfort them.

I've know Jerry since elementary school. He was always a sweet person, a joy to be around and you could always count on a laugh. Praying comfort for you family and the promise to see you again that comes only from our Lord and Saviour, Jesus.

Working with Jerry and Paul was a highlight of my career. The professionalism and work ethics Jerry possessed was an inspiration to all of us. First and foremost he was my friend and I was looking forward to going fishing with him as he was too. I had no idea he was even ill and still so young in years. I miss my friend. Jerry, save a place for me, just not too soon. There is no doubt in my mind that you are looking in the face of Jesus and He is smiling at you. Rest in peace

Rest in peace Jerry. It was a pleasure knowing someone on the job who didn't mind saying what they felt instead of what he thought you'd like to hear. God bless the family.

I had the pleasure of going to school with Jerry. He was always a cut up in school. He was a good friend and will be greatly missed! Prayers to his family.

I first met Jerry when I was his Duty Officer when he was a state police cadet. Later we would work the same shift at Troop L. From that a lifetime friendship developed that never once faltered. He was one of the handful of former troopers that I maintained contact with in retirement. He never lost his love for LSP and always had a heartfelt concern for it’s image. Integrity was something that Jerry Patrick was well versed in. Jerry I am sure going to miss you and our regular conversations about our younger days and our solutions for fixing the problems of the world. I’ll see you on the other side........

So sad to hear of the loss of a good friend and former boss. Jerry taught me a lot about people and that he was a man of his word. He had tremendous talent and an awesome memory for details- and records to back it up! I’ll miss our dialogs and conversations. A great guy that will be missed but not forgotten! Rest with the Lord Jerry.
