Obituary for McClendon James Hayman

McClendon James Hayman, 64, of Greenburg, LA, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, November 19, 2019. James was a hard worker and could never sit still. He was always looking for a way to provide and support his family. He enjoyed being outdoors and in nature, just being a simple man. He was a friend and shared his servant heart with anyone he met and what you saw was what you got. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend and will be missed by who were touched by his life. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will resume on Thursday, Nov. 21, from 10 a.m. until service at 12 p.m., officiated by Rev. Steve Miller and Rev. Tommy Smith. Burial will follow on the grounds of Greensburg Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Billie F. Hayman; sons, Brandon James Hayman and Jarrett Frank Hayman; grandsons, Aidan James Hayman and Ewan Gordon Rice Hayman; mother, Willie Mae Hayman; brothers, Rocky and Daryle Hayman; and his extended family that raised him as their own, Magee and Nancy Martin and their family; as well as a wealth of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James Wesley Hayman, Jr.; and brother, Douglas Hayman. Please share your condolences at www.sealefuneral.com.

James was the ultimate Bubba. The most genuine funny man I know. As we tried to come visit for our girl “cousin trip” the biscuits were always waiting for us when we got up. He usually had already left for work. He would come home and sit and visit with us with his dry sense of humor. And always a coke float after his shower while winding down in front of the TV before bed. All us girl cousins just loved our sweet Bubba. Him and Billie are the sweetest loving couple. She would sit across his lap in his chair and just talk “sweet nothings” to him. Hard to picture them not having each other. Our girls trip won’t be the same without his presence but I know how important his Lord and Savior to him. What a celebration happened in heaven today as he met him at the pearly gates. I pray for Billie’s continued peace that our God has given her through this ordeal. She knows that he is in a better place than the rest of us left behind. Love you Billie

My uncle James would only call me Memmaranda and when I was younger he would make me so mad! My entire life I just thought of him as the poster child of a real life cowboy. I remember playing in the fields with all the cousins at their house and Uncle James always working on something or doing something with some animal. He was the best husband to my Aunt BB and that always made me love him more. My fondest memory that will always stick with me was when he made homemade biscuits the morning of my wedding. I couldn’t sleep and I was staying at his house since my wedding was there the next day. He and his brothers even built a barn for my big day! So that morning he was already awake, probably at five am, and he made biscuits and coffee and he and I sat there together. He was so calm and always so silly while I sat there nervous as could be. We didn’t get a lot of alone time together but on the most important day of my life we did. So glad God have him to us and my Aunt BB. Can’t wait to see him again.
