I remember when I was about 9 years old and I was living in my Hoss and Paw's house in Merryland Subdivision in Denham Springs Summer was about 5 years old when she first moved into the neighborhood and after she settled in I would always go over to her house at the corner of Dabney Dr and Corby and I would always talk to her almost everyday and give her a hug and hangout with her and her two brothers and sister and talk with their dad and mom.I have known Summer since Freshwater too Freshwater.Whenever we would pass each other in the hallway at Freshwater and tell each other hey and give each hugs.also we would play together on the playground at Freshwater.Summer was one of the girls like when i was having a bad day in Freshwater I could always count on her.Summer was a very kind hearted person and my best friend. We also went to DSFH and DSHS together and when we would see each other we would always give each other hugs.I cared about Summer very much. She was like a sister to me and Tanner her brother was like a brother to me too.I'm so sorry to hear about Summer and Tanner's death!

My heart breaks for the Ernest family, but you are not alone at this difficult time. "God is our refuge and strength, a help that is readily found in times of distress." (Psalm 46:1) Keep leaning on Him as you go through this most difficult time in your life. (Isaiah 26:3,4)

My dearest niece, Summer, Ohhh how your aunt Cristy is going to miss you. My mini me! You had such a beautiful soul, smile, laugh, personality and a heart of God. Always wanting to help people and animals. You remind me of myself so much at your age. You sure knew how to brighten a room. I'm going to miss you terribly! You always knew how to make me feel good. You constantly told me how beautiful you thought I was and you was proud to look like me. You missed your paw paw so much and now you dont have to miss him no more! Oh what a reunion it was!!!!!! Until we meet again, you'll be in aunt Cristy's heart ALWAYS! I LOVE YOU! Love, Aunt Cristy

Summer Ernest was the best person I’ve ever known. She was honestly pure and beautiful inside & out! She offered love and kindness to everyone she met, and always kept a smile on her face regardless of the circumstance. Summer was hilarious and had such an uplifting personality, it was almost impossible to be sad or mad when you were around her. Summer became my best friend in such a short amount of time and I can truly say that I loved her! And she loved my daughter and myself. Summer was an old soul. She knew all the best songs and we would sing Whitney Huston and boys 2 men as loud and horribly as we possibly could. We would be separated at work for the silly shenanigans we would pull or just because we couldn’t stop laughing at each other. Some of the best times of my life were spent with Summer and I will cherish them in my heart forever! I love you summer & I thank you for showing me the upmost kindness and understanding when I needed it most. You will never ever be forgotten, and always missed. I offer my condolences and non stop prayers to your family who now have a missing piece of their hearts due to this tragedy. May God be with all of you!
